What is

Agora Europe is a new tool for knowledge and access to Europe and a true national think tank that works by setting up an online database of academics and European experts, and developing a round of meetings and debates entitled "Europe in your university".

Goals

The Agora Europe project aims at filling in the lack of an up-to-date and comprehensive database of experts at European-level able to link the academia and national institutions together, and also to monitor European policies to raise awareness on challenges and opportunities in the European Union.

Activities

Agora Europe's activities are different. The main topics are the organization of three university thematic conferences each year in three different Italian universities throughout Italy, an online seminar (webinar) with the involvement of the members of Agora, and the promotion and creation of a "Italian Network of Knowledge on European Studies", which will develop teaching and research activities on European issues.

Database

Inside the complete, up-to-date, permanent and published online academic database of Agora Europe, it is possible to consult the professional profiles of teachers, academics, researchers, consultants and experts on European issues. This database aims to encourage a structured, permanent and interdisciplinary dialogue between the academic sector and the political institutions, supported by the European Movement - Italy.

The project “Academic Agora for the Future of Europe” (Acronym: Agorà Europe) will support CIME statutory activities and objectives of increasing quality debate on European issues while providing policy-makers at national and European level with comprehensive analysis to address the governance of European policies.

It will address the lack of a comprehensive, updated and permanent database and platform of discussions among of experts on European issues linking together the academic world and institutions at the service of the national institutions and most relevant bodies committed in European policies-making.
