On the 18th and the 19th of October 2021, the European Movement Italy, had the honour and the pleasure to host the representatives of the national European Movements of eight different Mediterranean countries in the occasion of the event "MED 8, Sharing of the National Councils of the European Movement International in Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, Malta, Greece, Cyprus and Croatia on the future of Europe".

We decided to organize this event with the objective to restart the international live-debate activities after more than twenty months of pandemic emergency, with the wish to enforce the relationship between the different, local bodies of the european movement international and trying to build together a new useful format of live meeting, which could be replaced, not only between those eight mediterranean countries involved, but also in other different regional context of the European Union member states through their European movement's local representatives.

We are so grateful for the collaboration of both the European movement international and the Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry, which collaborated with us in the organization and realization of this event.

We strongly hope that many other similar live events will be organized in the early future.
