L’obiettivo principale di questo progetto è rafforzare la capacità delle organizzazioni giovanili di attivare un maggior numero di giovani. Questo obiettivo sarà raggiunto riunendo una rete diversificata di organizzazioni partner europee e creando uno strumento comune, un e-toolkit con metodi originali, facili e innovativi su come coinvolgere i giovani in modo divertente ed efficace. Attraverso questa collaborazione, le organizzazioni condivideranno le loro prospettive e i loro approcci unici al lavoro con i giovani, sviluppando al contempo nuovi strumenti e metodologie.
I giovani e le giovani verranno coinvolti su temi di comune interesse a livello europeo, quali: la cittadinanza attiva, la partecipazione democratica, il contrasto dell'inattività giovanile, i problemi di fiducia nelle istituzioni e la lotta al populismo ed al diffondersi delle fake news.
II giovani sono i futuri leader dell'Europa. Allo stesso tempo, il dibattito pubblico e politico sui temi europei appare spesso molto accademico e distante dalla realtà che i giovani vivono. Il progetto mira a responsabilizzare le giovani generazioni fornendogli strumenti e metodi pratici e dando loro voce nel processo democratico. I partecipanti utilizzano nuovi metodi e strumenti per l'impegno attivo e avranno la possibilità di applicarli in situazioni reali, nell'interazione con politici locali e nella presentazione di raccomandazioni su come coinvolgere i loro coetanei nei processi decisionali a livello nazionale ed europeo.
Infine, il progetto affronta una ulteriore priorità: “inclusione e diversità in tutti i settori dell'istruzione, della formazione, dei giovani e dello sport”. Il progetto si concentra sul sostegno alla partecipazione civica, indipendentemente dall'istruzione o dal background socio economico, o dall'appartenenza etnico-linguistica. Aprendo un dialogo tra i giovani e le giovani provenienti da contesti sociali, economici, culturali e geografici diversi, giovani svantaggiati e giovani in grado di utilizzare tutti gli strumenti di partecipazione civica, di accedere alle opportunità europee e di studiare o fare esperienze lavorative all'estero, il progetto mira a costruire ponti interni alla società giovanile e a prevenire fenomeni di emarginazione o radicalizzazione.
Cuore del progetto sono i workshop locali, che realizzeremo in tutta Italia tra ottobre 2024 e giugno 2025. In questi workshop i giovani e le giovani formati internamente agli eventi di scambio internazionale, guideranno i gruppi di lavoro nelle tematiche di cui sopra attraverso l'utilizzo di metodi di educazione non formale.

EUTH: STRENGTHENING YOUTH AND DEMOCRACY IN EUROPE
One of the main objectives of this project is to build capacities of youth work organisations to activate more young people. This objective follows the youth priority “increase the quality, innovation, and recognition of youth work”. This will be done by bringing together a diverse network of European partner organisations and creating a common tool – e-toolkit with unique, easy and innovative methods on how to engage youth in an entertaining and effective way. Through collaboration, these organisations will share their unique perspectives and approaches toward working with young people, while also developing new tools and methodologies.
By leveraging their shared and distinct approaches to engaging youth on topics like active citizenship and participation, these organisations will address common European issues like youth inactivity, democratic trust issues, and populism through innovative solutions and outside-the-box thinking, resulting in a more dynamic and professional environment for their work.
In particular, this project aims to enhance the capacity of youth work organisations to reach out to politically disengaged or demotivated young people and connect them with their peers who are active. While tackling this issue, it fosters another priority – “common values, civic engagement and participation”, especially among young people.
Young people are the future leaders of Europe. At the same time, European and political discourses are often very academic and distant from the realities that young people are living. The project empowers them by using practical tools and methods and gives them a voice in the democratic process. They will gain new methods and tools for active engagement and have the chance to apply them in real-life situations, such as interacting with local politicians and presenting recommendations on how to involve youth in decision making processes to policymakers at the European level.
Last but not least, the project tackles another priority – “inclusion and diversity in all fields of education, training, youth and sport”. The project focuses on supporting civic participation regardless of education or socioeconomic background which is core European value. It is not only important to engage those young who don’t have opportunities but also to connect them with different groups of their peers. Opening a dialogue between young people from different social, economic, cultural and geographical backgrounds, disadvantaged youth and youth which are able to use all the means of the globalised world and study abroad, the project aims to build bridges between different groups in society and prevent radicalization and lack of empathy later in life.
Inclusivity is also part of the consortium. This project proposal is inclusive because it targets youth organisations of various sizes with different target groups and different locations, not only from the capitals of each country.
